045: Fire Jenga

Today was St. Patrick's day. Of course I spent most of the day at work. So as soon as I could get out I did. Of course we just went to stefs and drank beers but it was great. Then a fire seemed like a great idea followed by the boys game of "fire jenga". Perfect.

044: I can taste Summer

Finally CT spring/summer is on their way!!! Today I was able to find enough cash to get an ice coffee. The taste of this reminds me of last late spring/summer. Such a good time and the slight hint of vanilla and sweetness makes me smile. Drinking it while walking in my flip flops to work made it almost bearable that I had to be at work again, almost.

043: Finally home

Yes I didn't take this because it is from an app. But finally getting home was such a crazy day that I didn't have a second to sleep or eat, or drink anything. Flying out at 1 am from Denver, taking off and hour and half late, waiting 45 mins for bags, running to the air train, to catching 2 subways, to grand central to just making the train to New Haven by 4 minutes to a car ride home. You can guess I was tired. Being awake for 29 hours, not eating for over 30 will make someone crazy. After that whole day I slept and i guess had one of the best nights of sleep in a very long time. Thank you sleep cycle!

042: I'm very mature

Life is to short to be serious all the time. I take somethings very seriously but I am always trying to find a way to laugh. It is the best way to relieve stress and relax. Driving thru Denver this Sunday looking for apartments seeing as many Apple stores as possible was crazy. While making a U-turn down one road I saw this sign. Look closely at the street name. No one said you have act you age at all. Best quote of the day, "Nothing says looking for our first place like you drinking a juice box". Maturity is overrated if you ask me.

041: A birds eye view

The flight into Denver was amazing. The sky was clear pretty much the whole way. Just randomly opening the shades on the plane and looking down and seeing mountains as far as one could look was amazing. Sometimes nature just really amazes me.

040: How was your first time with crabs?

Yes I did two pictures but that is only because this was such a great day. This was the second day in Seattle and I had just one requirement for going here, to get crab legs. I never liked seafood, but then I worked at Red Lobster for about a year and just decided to give it another try and now love it. So for the nice dinner that night to celebrate a year we went to the Crab Pot. If you have seen man vs. food Seattle it is this amazing place where they just pour a whole bowl of food at your table and you beat it with a mallet. It was so delicious and amazing. I could not have been happier to be where I was when I was with who I was. I normally don't get mushy or talk about my life but it was amazing. I haven't been this happy in many years. I finally feel who I was so long ago and being this happy and carefree is something that I will not give out without a fight.

039: A day in the life

This is where it gets hard to pick just one picture. This was the first day in Seattle. I have been there before but he hadn't so we had to go to all things that you must see when you are there, the Space Needle, Pikes Places, the first Starbucks ect. But the best part of the day was when I was walking by a t-shirt shop and so this, a GIANT stuffed penguin. I ran right in and have at least 10 pictures of it and me with it. I loved them all but this was makes me laugh because it looks like he is pondering something. Fabulous!

038: It don't matter, we're on vacation!

My vacation started Tuesday. The last time I took more then my normal two days off was last May when I went to VA for 4 days for my best friend's graduation. It was after an overnight and leaving work at 3:15AM and getting about 5 hours of sleep made me extra crazy on top of my excitement to be on a vacation. While waiting for the flight from Boston to Seattle I had a beer and some fries. I found one fry that made me think and this my creation. It was wonderful.

037: It's a moving picture (WARNING BIRD)

Okay so I know this is not a picture. It is a movie but a movie is just a bunch of pictures so there. This is my bird, I took this video of him because sometimes he wants to talk and sometimes not. He was in a good mood that day so I had to capture it. notice how he doesn't put his foot down the whole time. haha Enjoy!

036: I love you classy

If you know me you know I do really enjoy Apple. Today's picture is from my bed side. I have had my ipod video since Sophomore year after I had to replace my classic that died. The battery life is awful but I keep it by my bed to play some sounds to help me sleep. I'm always going and sleep is hard for me to get, using this has allowed me to take a moment and relax and pretend that I don't have 80 million things running thru my mind at any one time.

035: A Bang type of night

Every Sunday now there is the tradition of playing this card game bang. Of course this is from that night. We always have some heated discussion about how to play and what the rules mean. It's amazing.

034: A FLIP FLOP DAY!

Spring and summer are so close. Today was one of the first days in a while that was sunny and we had 50 degree weather. I know that I was at work all day but putting on my flip flops and wearing them outside into work and all day made me very happy. I had to put real shoes on to leave because it was 10:45 at night when I left but having my feet finally in them out of the house I love. It is just one more day closer to summer and one more day closer to moving to somewhere brand spankin' new. Which I could not be more excited about.

033: Oh radio you are getting old.

Dear old car,

I miss you and your aux jack. I have not bought a tape deck because it cost money and I don't know what my next car will have. I miss listen to songs on my ipod. I can't wait till we are rejoined. this pictures show the radio in the van I am driving. It makes me miss my car.

I love you super station wagon.

Love,
Bridget

032: It is red and sparkly

So today's picture is of the fantastic fanny pack that I was able to get in New Haven the day before. Me and one of my co-workers Anna decided that we needed these to wear at work to put the millions of things we carry around all day. So while down in New Haven I made a stop at American Apparel, and got Anna a gold one and me, of course, red. They are so obnoxious and bright and awful and I love it. It makes me laugh and with the stress of getting in or not getting to grad school and moving and car buying and everything a good laugh is what i need. Every time I look down at the red sparkles I just laugh. It makes me so happy.

031: A New Haven type of day

This blog post is a first. The first time I'm actually in the picture. With this being my last day off until my vacation we decided we best get out while we can before work becomes the daily thing for 6-7 straight days. So a trip to my favorite "big box store" (according to 'Renters" on HGTV) IKEA. I love everything about this place. From the $1 breakfast and free coffee before 10 am, to the super cheap prices on everything and the pre-designed rooms that make me wish I had money. After going thru and making sure we had a good idea of what stuff we will need around June a trip to American Apparel, Urban Outfitters and Bull Dog Burrito were needed. So this pictures is from a funny mug I found in Urban Outfitters. It made me laugh because I always pretend I have mustache. Love it.

030: HD Yellow

This picture is not really inspiring at all. Tuesday was a small look at what spring could be like. it was sunny (at least when i left the house) and not freezing cold. I did have the time to paint my toe nails. It came out awful with my attempt to be artsy. This just made me excited to get my first real summer pedicure. I don't do much girly stuff, I don't keep my nails perfect, my makeup is minimal and I don't really style my hair in fancy ways. But pedicures, that is something I love. Summer is coming and I am very excited.

029: A New and Busy Month

This is a little late but oh well. This is from one of the many calendars in my room. I love calendars and have 3 hanging up and two I still need to find space for. March is a big month for me. I have something going on every week. From my much needed vacation out west, to St. Patrick's day, to my 24th birthday to a very busy few weeks at work with ipad release (??). So this is the empty calendar but the other one is full of stuff to get done.
